Mission Statement
Coffee Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center is an affiliate of Dr. Conrad Harper MD. We are committed to providing our patients with a friendly, professional and secure environment. We provide educational opportunities for our patients to increase awareness of COPD as well as other lung diseases.
Why Participate in the Program?
The primary goal of pulmonary rehabilitation is to reduce activity limitations of persons with chronic lung diseases. Our aim is to restore patients to the highest possible level of independent function and improve their overall quality of life. An individual exercise program will be designed for each participant. The program will be gentle at first and each time you will be encouraged to do more. Participants must also follow a home exercise program. At the end of the program, each participant will continue exercising at home in order to maintain the benefits of the program.
Who Participates in the Program?
● Patients who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or other respiratory conditions.
● Patients who are recovering from an acute exacerbation
● Patients who are willing to participate (even if they currently smoke).
Will my insurance pay for Pulmonary Rehab?
Yes, most insurance plans will pay for pulmonary rehab. Medicare pays 80% of pulmonary rehab and most secondary plans will take care of the remaining 20%. Billing is determined on a case by case basis.
What do you need to get started?
1. Doctor Referral
2. Spirometry Test
At Coffee Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center we accept referral patients. All we need is an order from your physician for Pulmonary Rehabilitation. If you have had spirometry testing within 30 days, we will need a copy of the test. If not, we can perform the test in our office. Medicare requires an FEV1 of less than 80% to participate in pulmonary rehabilitation.
